[Question] Sage Pastel Xpress V17 "for dummies"

    Hi.
I got Sage Pastel Xpress V17 and installed it. I've managed to create a new company and set up my suppliers. It is with my inventory I am having difficulties.

We have a restaurant with lots of different food items as ingredients. Obviously not all recipes use full amounts of a product. How do I keep track of that on Pastel?

Is there somewhere a "How to" self help I can download? I really cant afford to spend thousands on a training course. This is my first encounter with pastel.

    Hi Hetta,

You will need to purchase the Bills of Material module to handle the recipes - this allows you to define the components (ingredients) for each meal. Unfortunately this module is only available as an add-on to Sage Pastel Partner, not Xpress, so you would need to upgrade your existing package to Partner as well.

Let me know if you would like to explore these options, and I can send you a quote.

Although there is no online "how to" self help that I am aware of, you can go through the Help documentation under the Help menu option.

I tried clicking on the Help>Documentation.
It says file not found or cannot be read.
