Hi Everyone. This is my first time doing financial statements for a school. The school put in a requisition to the department of education for office furniture. The requisition was approved and the department bought the office furniture for the school. How do i bring that furniture into the books? I believe it it s done through a general journal. The account would be furniture and fittings at cost, what would be the contra account. Please assist!
