ACCOUNTANT INFORMATION

My accountant has sent me some corrections which I have tried to import into Pastel from dropbox. They use a multi user Pastel and I have a single user Xpress 14.

It shows a transmission error when opening Pastel:
Status 3(file not open)
File 3 (customer master account accmasd.datdat)
Opcode 15(stat)

Has it corrupted and how do I correct it?

You will have to restore a backup. I`m assuming you copied the file from the accountant into pastel directly? Your accountant might have a later version of Accounting than you. Most likely additional fields were added in the "later version" . Your version of pastel expects the file to be a smaller size and therefore doesn't open it.
They will need to export the data using file import export. You will then need to format the export file according to your versions layout before importing it. You can find the layout in the help file.

If you want to import the file you must follow the specific format i.e. 'Comma Separated Value file' (CSV). And your problem can be solved by following the format and it can be done manually through spreadsheet software. You must try it.
