[Question] PASTEL PARTNER - RESET OF SUPERVISOR PASSWORD

Would anyone know how to reset a password on Pastel Partner on a specific set of books. I have taken over the client but the previous accountant cant remember the Supervisor password. This is necessary in order to activate the Bank Manager on this client.
I have approached Pastel, but they want to charge me just to reset this on their side.

is there not an easy way I could do it on my side?

I can crack Pastel passwords prior to V14.

However, V14 should have a Forgot Password option - will that not help in finding out the supervisor password?

no, not that I've come across.
I suppose I need to just accept pastel's help even if it is going to cost me. may be worth it in the end.

Hi Neville Bailey. Had a look at one of your post regarding the retrieval of password of set of company books.

We currently use Pastel 2009 Xpress and have misplaced the password to access a set of company books. From your post would you be able to retrieve a password.

                Thank in advance

Yes, I should be able to help you with that, but I will need you to send me a backup of the company, either directly to my email address (if the backup file is not too large), or via Dropbox/One Drive or Google Drive.

Can anyone help with retrieving a Pastel password? I outsourced bookkeeping about 2 years and the clerk used an obscure password. She cannot remember the password and neither can I. I have a backup in an old version, maybe V14 and I have converted it to V18.2.1. I would really appreciate some help.
