[Question] New To Pastel Inventory

Hi all
I need a bit assistance and explanation of the pastel inventory system
We are a small factory that produce varies items. Accounting was told to start using this system

1. How does inventory system work on pastel and why it is used?
2. How is items/stock sold or issued to a project/client? Can this be done? can I do it from a CSV file that I get from my current stock System?
