Hi, I am having a challenge with Pastel in that all of a sudden I get an error message as per attachment. From what I can understand it seems that it is looking for the data base. How does one check if pervasive is still running and where does one check for the serial / key for pervasive!

Pervasive will definitely be running, otherwise you would not even been able to open Pastel at all.
Click on the Manage button and confirm that the pane on the left is completely blank.
If it is blank, click in the Locate Server button and browse to C:\Xpress12\Custom and click on the Registration folder and then OK.
The left pane should then show your computer name at the top (as the server), followed by your companies below.
If your active company has a red cross over it, highlight it and then click on Activate Company and then browse to C:\Xpress12 and click on your company folder.Neville Bailey - Sage Pastel Accounting Consultant
