[Question] Handling Motor Dealer Customer Deposits in Pastel Express14

I need some guidance on how to handle Motor Dealer Customer Deposits in Pastel Express V14.

Do I create a GL Account say 9310/000 flagged it as a Balance Sheet"" item and mark it as "Other Liability Category" or do I process the Customer Deposits as "other income" in the "Income Statement"?

Definitely not an income item. Your GL acc 9310/000 will do the trick, each client then having his own sub account. It make for a long trial balance (with sub accounts). There may be a way to create another control account (like your Drs and Crs) which would be ideal but I don't know if you can. Maybe a Pastel fundi can help.
