    Pastel Customer Account Missing

    This morning I was searching for a customer on my Pastel database & the Customer Account was nowhere to be found even though there have been transactions posted to this account in the year. I immediately ran a data integrity check & the error came back that this specific account was missing. Can anybody tell me how this happens? It can't have been deleted in error as Pastel won't allow you to delete an account that has transactions against it - from my experience.

    Your database has been corrupted, probably due to power fluctuations and/or instability on your computer, network or server.

    You should have been prompted, by the Data Integrity report, to recreate the customer account.

    Do that, and then re-run the Data Integrity report - you might then get a report of masterfile imbalances for that account that need to be fixed.

    You will not be able to fix those imbalances yourself, but I can assist you with my database editor. We can do it via TeamViewer.

      Thank you for your reply Neville, we had approached our contact at Pastel yesterday and she managed to fix it, she did exactly what you say needed to be done. but I will know for future and rather liaise with you and sort it myself. Regards
