Pastel help: Emailing pastel documents through Outlook 365 Error

    Good day,

Recently I have had a problem when sending invoices, statements, etc. from Pastel v.11 through Outlook 365 (Latest version).

I have always received this warning from Microsoft outlook saying that a program is trying to access it giving me the option to allow it for a certain number of minutes or deny it. I was always able to click allow for all the documents that I wished to send.

Since updating to the latest version of Outlook 365 I am only able to allow documents to be sent the first time it gives me the option to select the duration and then have to close and reopen pastel to send subsequent documents such as between every invoice that I do; otherwise I get an error in Pastel saying that my I need to check my email settings, or pastel hangs while it tries to resolve the issue and force closes.

Is there anyone with some experience and advice on this matter?

I would really appreciate any tips.

    Thank you.

    Regards,
    Craig

    Hi Craig,

If your computer is a 64-bit machine, make sure that the version of Office 365 that you have installed is also 64-bit.

Conversely, if your computer is a 32-bit machine, your Office 365 installation must also be 32-bit.

      Hi Neville,

As you suggested I Have windows 64 bit and had the 32 bit version of office installed.

Subsequently I uninstalled the 32 bit version and installed the 64 bit version.

I have now been getting a warning message in pastel saying that outlook is not my default email client but I have checked that it is in fact the default email program in the default apps list. I Have tried resetting it as the default email client and have restarted the laptop for the settings to take effect.

It is also selected as the default email client within outlook 2016.

I'm not sure what else I am meant to do to repair this?

      Thanks.

                Hallo Neville

I am having problems emailing statements from Pastel V14.2.1. It gives me a runtime error 32014. It only emails the first 6 statements regardless of how many I choose.

                Thank You

                            Hi Neville,

I have the same problem as Greg.

When sending invoices, statements, etc. from Pastel v.18 through Outlook 365 (Latest version).

I can process and print any Control documents from Pastel v.18 but as soon as I select the email option it freezes to the end where I have to "End Task" the program.

                            Any advise on this matter??

I would really appreciate any tips.

                            Thank you.

                            Regards,
                            Jarine

                              Hi Jarine

There are many possible factors that could be causing your issues. Check in Control Panel - Add remove programs. Do you have "Office click to run extensibility components" showing there? Did you get office 365 pre-installed on your machine and then just added your account, or was it a full download / installation from media? Try emailing a document with your outlook closed, then open outlook and check if it is in your outbox/sent items. Are you an administrator on the local machine? Have you tried turning User Account Control off, rebooting, and then seeing if you can email from Pastel?
