    Pastel Email Quitting

    Good day.

We have a problem with our Pastel Xspress V14.
if we email an invoice or statement or credit note or basically anything, Our Pastel quits.
If we relaunch the Pastel, and try to send it again, it goes threw with no problem.
Pastel only quits if we try to email the document for the first time.

Please can someone help us with this problem.

    Thank you in advance.

This i found too with games on windows. it seems you have chunked up the memory, or, your settings are wrong, or, it is a hardware problem which i doubt totally.

So, you might want to observe it is a 'redone' email that goes through, yes? this means that it is closing because it is programmed through a bug to do this, of course. maybe it is a programming error where some reference numbers were repeated? this would be where the programmer set it up with references or directions in the program for the executions to follow that it actually has a few numbers out of place, or names, so it would look up, when you send, 'send and close email' so another one could be sent, as, the previous one has gone through and the que is cleared. you might actually find it is sending the first mail the second time!

Of course this is irritating, yes? if you were to open two sendings of the mail, like through 'write, write' then you might send it through, but of course the program might still only send it the second time.

I suggest that you open the tool box or whatever you pastel people call it, and then set it up to send a signature, or password encryption, and then just insert the password into the 'mail letter' itself? you need to change the way the computer or program understands the sending of the message, of course. this might keep it open, yes?

As a back up, you should copy all the information to a word text file so you don't need to send it again - i doubt that will close!

Sorry, i am no programmer, yet find your problem to be a bug. maybe downloading the latest repositories or even reporting the bug to a technician will give the results you seek?

I must say that I have not encountered this problem before.

Some things to check, which may or may not help:

      • Are you using Outlook as your email program, or something else?
      • Assuming you are using Outlook, make sure that the version of Outlook matches the computer, i.e. if your computer is a 32-bit machine, then you need to have the 32-bit version of Outlook installed, and if your machine is 64-bit, then the 64-bit version of Outlook must be installed.
      • What Windows operating system are you using?
      • If you are running Windows 7, 8 or 10, go to Control Panel...User Accounts and make sure the slider under User Account Control Settings is pulled all the way to the bottom.
