[Question] How to transfer data from one company to another in Pastel Xpress

Hi all,

I really hope you can help me.

We accidentally posted data to the incorrect company, is there any way to transfer this specific data to the correct company without having to transfer everything?

Sadly if the data is updated then you cannot, unless if you had done a preupdate backup which batches you can then export out into *.csv and then reimport in the correct database

Worst case in the database with updated transactions you can run the Entry Type reports for the dates you captured incorrectly and then export these and format as batches to import in the correct company.

You will still have to deal with the issue of the incorrectly updated dataset thought which without a backup you will be forced to reverse the entries (or as per above return the entry type batches with a negative amount)
