Pastel custom Form Designer path help

Okay so I created a custom form, now I am struggling to get Pastel to link it.

We are using V14 Partner, so now every time we invoice and need to print I first have to tick Custom Form - Link it and then print, I need to do this every time as it does not save the path? Please help?

Another question, we also have a POS pc, so how can I get POS to print on the same document and not a till slip as it currently does as we hae pre-printer invoices?

    Thank you

    Hi Johan,

Pastel first looks for a custom form (*.enz) in the company folder and, if it does not find one there, then it looks in the C:\Pastel14\Custom\Forms folder. If it does not find a custom form there, then it uses the default form (*.eng). Also, make sure that the form file name is correctly named.

With respect to the POS printer setting, if you do not want to use the slip printer setting, open POS and then go to Setup...Options and, then, at the top right of the screen, uptick the option "Use Pastel Layout for Slip Printing".

      Hi Neville

What should the name read if it is a custom tax invoice? I saved it as csdocsh.enz? did I perhaps use the wrong name for a invoice?

I took the tick of in POS, but I think because it does not save the actual form layout into invoices when they invoice the POS system does not pick it up either.

Another thing should it be saved under old, new or just in the forms folder?

The form name is correct, and I would rather save it into the company folder, not the forms folder.

Also, under File...Printer/Fonts Setup, make sure that the correct paper style for Tax Invoices has been selected.

            Hi Neville

So just to confirm, I should save the form under the company name eg: P:\\Pastel14\CompanyName not under P:\\Pastel14\Custom\Forms???

If I save it in the company folder will it also pick the form up in the POS or do I need a different description for the POS document?
