    Imports to Pastel Partner

I hope someone can assist me in creating an import sheet for my Invoices into Pastel.

I generate our invoices on Excel and then have to capture it in Pastel again... Surely there must be a way of importing this data without having to capture invoices again on Pastel...

I am attaching a spread sheet of some typical data I would like to import.

    Thanks

Yes, it is possible, provided that you set up a CSV file in the correct layout and format. It also depends on whether you want to import the data as invoices, or as journals to the various customer accounts. From the spreadsheet you attached, I think a journal import will be sufficient and easier.

In order to establish a template CSV layout, into which you can copy and paste the data from your spreadsheet, open Pastel and create a sample customer journal, using one or two of the invoices in your spreadsheet. Then export the journal batch by clicking on the Batch button at the bottom and selecting the Export option. When typing in the export file name, make sure that you insert the file extension cvs. For example, name the exported file as batch.csv. This will allow you to open the file in Excel.

Once you have populated the CSV file with the invoice data you wish to import into Pastel, save the file and then open a blank customer journal. Then click on the Batch button, select the Import option and browse for the CSV file.
