[Question] Bi-Annual Sumbission August 2014

Hi Guys
I need to know whether I must submit an EMP701 on e@syFile to correct the ETI reduction that was utilised in February 2014? I remember there was a problem with the EMP501 and no way of showing this figure as utilised then (Feb 2014). Problem is, this amount is now reflecting as Due by me on my Statement of account?

Any ideas would be appreciated please...

Hi Bronwyn P,
I would suggest you write to PCC and give them a copy of the EMP501 of 201402 as well as the ETI calculation. They need to update their systems.
Email them, wait 21 days and if you have no joy, go straight to SSMO.

PCC is the contact centre for Tax Practitioners. If you have a Tax Practitioner Nr, you can email them at pcc.south@sars.gov.za, but just remember to include your Practitioner number in your email or they won't help you at all.

Thanks Genesis but I'm not a tax practitioner. I'm the bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator for a restaurant....I guess I'll have to contact SARS directly via email at [EMAIL="contact.south@sars.gov.za"] or is there another direct email address for these queries?
Is anybody else experiencing this problem?? Strange thing is that my Statement of account reflects a nil balance...

Unfortunately the only email I know is contact.south@sars.gov.za

But if you can get a case number (maybe by phoning if the contact.south email doesn't send you a case number), then SARS has 21 working days to help you and after that you can still send it to ssmo@sars.gov.za

Something that should be noted here, is that all possible steps must have been taken before referring the case to the SSMO.

Hi all, the deadline for the EMP recon is 31 October, as such SARS is helping users at the SARS branches starting 2 weeks before the deadline.

Hi All
SARS eventually replied and I have to submit a revised EMP501 recon for 2014 and completing the Annual ETI utilised. I've been trying to do this on e@syfile by requesting a full resubmission but that just takes me back to the Declaration page which I cannot edit. Do I need to cancel all the certificates and import them again? Or is there more problems with E@syfile again? I've just updated to version 6.6.2. Any ideas?

Hi Bronwyn,
What you need to do is...
Go to Utilities / EMP501 Status Dashboard / click on the submission you want to re-do and make sure the status is Accepted.
Then you go to your certificates and correct what you need to correct. You do not have to cancel certificates, you can just add / undo whatever.
Then you go to full re-submission request and complete the declaration and ETI part.
Then submit.

Thanks Christel but my certificates are all correct so I don't need to change anything there.... I need to change the ETI part because this amount is reflecting as due by me. I nevertheless followed these steps but when I get to full re-submission request, it takes me to my original declaration and won't allow me to edit the ETI part?

But that's 100% correct, on the declaration screen you chose your entity, the period and then you change whatever you need to change.

I must just tell you that my ETI guys also shows as a debit due by me, but this is a SARS problem that they need to fix. Nothing that I did wrong.

I know this was SARS error in Feb 2014 because there was no column to show the ETI utilised (they only fixed this ETI page in the new version of e@syfile with the August 2014 submission) I received a letter from them yesterday after my email requesting them to fix my 2014 EMP501 asking me to re-submit 2014 EMP501 as they cannot fix it as it was submitted via e@syfile.

Seems the plot thickens with SARS....
