Does Pastel Partner need internet connectivity to work?

    Good day all,
We had a strange issue yesterday whereby when my company's creditor administrator wanted to pull age analysis in Pastel Partner, it kept giving us a status 3112 error, which indicates a network issue. However, the only issue we had was no ADSL connectivity at the time that we were trying to pull the age analysis. Yet as soon as our ADSL connectivity was restored, the error went away, so my question is this: Does Pastel need internet access to work properly?

Thanking you for your time and assistance,

    Mark de Wet

    Hi Mark,

No, Pastel Partner does not need internet connectivity in order to work. The only component that does require internet connectivity is the automatic updates feature, if you are running V12 and above.

Perhaps your ADSL router also controls your local area network?

      Good day Neville,
      Thank you for your reply.
No my ADSL router does not control my LAN, I have a Smoothwall Firewall box that is my connection to the outside world. So a very strange/co-incidental incident indeed!!!

      Thanking you,
