[Question] Bill of Material report Pastel Partner 11

    Hi

I'm busy implementing Qlikview at an engineering company. I've extracted the inventory master etc from pastel and now I need to export a report regarding the Bills of Material. There is a Bill of Material module but not an existing report. What I need is a simple list with all the parent and kit (child) items. So 2 columns - Parent Item and Child Item. How does one go about this please.

    Kind regards

    Danie

    Hi Danie,

Try the following report: View...Manufacturing...Components Used in BOMs / Kit Item Codes.

Thank you - that helped. It was in a format that I still needed to copy and paste the info to different columns so that I could import it into a table which took a few hours but hey it's done.
I'm not familiar with pervasive and I'm battling to get data from pastel apart from running the reports available. Is there any way that one could access the tables in the database?

      Kind regards

      Danie

        Hi Danie,

I suggest that you create an ODBC database link, using the Pervasive Control Centre, and then use Excel's MSQuery add-on to pull the necessary data fields into Excel.

The specific data table for the BOM components is BOMLines.
