Exporting from Pastel V12 to excel

    Hie,

Please assist me on how to export reports (balance sheet, income statement, etc) and save them in excel format so as to edit and put reference notes. Or is it possible to put reference notes to reports on pastel if so how do I go about?

    Thank you.

There's a rough and ready method and a more sophisticated method.

The rough and ready method is to simply select the Excel option when printing one of the standard reports and then edit the Excel file. The problem with this method is that you will need to repeat the editing process everytime you run the reports.

The more sophisticated method is to use the Business Intelligence Centre (BIC) module, which will allow you to custom design report templates that refresh dynamically from your Pastel database whenever you run them.

The BIC module is an add-on module that can be purchased.

If you are interested to know more about it, please send me your Pastel base serial number and I will send you a quote and a PDF brochure.

      Dear Neville,

Thanks for the options, we recently started using pastel 12, can you highlight the differences and pros and cons of the two options. We were given a thirty day trial of BIC so how do I make use of it. We need to consider all these before we can add on the BIC module.
