[Question] Maternity Leave in Pastel Payroll

    Hi all

Can someone please advise how I go about processing maternity leave on Pastel Payroll if the company is paying a portion of the salary.

I know that normally one would terminate (and reinstate upon employee's return) if the company was not paying the employee while on maternity leave but what do I do in this scenario?

So far I have put through the adjusted salary under the income tab and I have processed "maternity" leave for the period she will be away under the leave tab.

    Is this correct. Please help.

    Thank you

In answer to my own question.... one would adjust the salary under the income tab but not put maternity leave through under the leave tab as this will not allow you to process a payslip for the employee in the next period. One must also change the employee status under Employee Masterfile, Statutory to "Maternity/Adoption leave". And that is it.
