[Question] Income definition

Hi everyone

If wish to pay a member of staff a "bonus" for the next three months because she is doing the work of an employee on maternity leave what type of income is it considered? It would be taxable income and I need it to reflect as an additional income as it will fall away at the end of the year. It is not a performance bonus or incentive so I am stumped. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You could call it an "Acting Allowance" and tax it under 3713 - Other Allowances Taxable
