CASHBOOK DISCREPANCIES

Goodday

Can anyone help me.I have a continuous problem with shortages and overs in the cashbook. The variance report shows the shortage or over total but I cannot see where these discrepancies are being generated.
I have check all the daily reports and nothing to indicate there is a problem.
Does anyone have anything they can suggest I could try.

I know that this sounds obvious but it is easy to overlook. Always check that your starting balance matches.
