When one prints reports in Pastel (Partner), it prints a heading to the top right of the page that states "Prepared by: xxx) . How can i change the xxx to e.g. my name as i do several companies' books. Many thanks!
Thanks for your reply. i realise where the name comes from. Thing is, i bought Pastel via my company a few years ago and now want to do my second company's books using the same Pastel package (Partner allows multiple companies). So instead of displaying my company's name (the one thought i originally bought it for) under 'Prepared by', i would like to display my name in order to produce reports for both companies. i spoke to Pastel Support and they say i have to complete a bunch of forms etc in and they would then evaluate and decide!
Hi Alan - I did this recently with one of our Pastel packages. After I could show that the software was not pirated and everything was above board it was done with no hassles.

You could also re-register your package online and try and change the registered name then, which will generate a different access code. In the mini-browser window that pops up, make sure that the access code there matches the new generated access code and edit it if necessary.
The registered name in this instance does not necessarily need to be the same as the name on Pastel's database.
