    VAT Charges

    Good Day

    Is there supposed to be VAT processed on Bank Charges in the cashbook?

    any tips or advise would be greatly appreciated

      If the business is Registered for Vat, then as Neville has pointed out the answer is yes. If the business is not registered for Vat, then The Vat option should be disabled.

        You can create a journal which has a VAT component, as you will require this to be part of your input VAT.

          Hi there

          When SARS says that you can claim VAT on Cleaning expenses, can anyone please be more specific as to the exact cleaning expenses they mean.

          Can you claim back VAT on Cleaning detergents, toiletries, etc bought at a supermarket?

          OR

          Do they mean, for instance, if you have your carpets cleaned and are charged VAT then you can claim that back?
