[Question] Adjusting year end in pastel express

I read a message similar to this but I am afraid I haven't quite managed to get my head around applying the answer to my situation.
We have been instructed to change our year end from December to June.
Please advise if I am on the right track.. I run the year end for Dec 2012; then change the periods from 12 to 6?
Then run the year end in June 2013 and change the periods from 6 to 12?
