On Saturday morning it looked like I was into the right server, but somehow files were sometimes being pulled off the one server, then the other I was getting a steady stream of really wierd error reports.
It seems not all the nameserver centres have updated yet either. I've just picked up a message from Vincent via mygenius that he still can't get in.
I know we've lost a couple of posts along the way too

good to hear that the transfer has gone through. As a tip, whenever you transfer forums, or any other DB drivens sites, it's suggested to disable the sites untill it's fully transfered
