Good afternoon Ladies and Gents,

Unfortunately I have a little Tech Question. Eksdom related I guess. Or maybe Eks-Dom. The pastel server runs Win-10 Pro X64 connected to a 2KVA Online UPS however the Workstations and Breakout Switch are not (still waiting on stock availability).

Every time there is a power failure we would generally shutdown the Pastel server in order to protect the file structures and operating system from corruption while the Geni is being started. Well that is the general Idea, It seems the outcome however is exactly the opposite. I'd understand if it were company data corruption or file creation failure as the connections are lost mid quote. But my issue seems to be operating system related. Or that what my gut tells me at-least.

After every Power failure, we have a Error code 94 while accessing company.dat file on workstations. Which I understand is a permissions error - Usually to do with the sharing and user access rights of the Mapped drive. I have tried everything from here... From re-share to remap with user access rights/Permissions to removing read only parameters and repair installs of V19. I have gone as far as Re-loading the entire system; windows, pastel, work groups and the lot. First power outage... Same issue.

It does seem however that a quick windows recovery solves the issue... I have blocked all widows updates on the machine in order to test failed update or buggy security updates but still... I just cant wrap my head around it. Surely the windows recovery has nothing to do with the physical registration data other than sharing. Worse still, The registration files and company.dat files are accessible and editable with Notepad (not actually edited but read) from the workstation. I don't have answers anymore. Has anyone ever experienced something like this?
