That is true, if it is setup correctly like you do for your clients i cannot see them complain at all. It is just for a layman used to pop in a disk it can be a challenge. And yes Linux have gotten a real boost thanks to YouTube tutorials that show how to update and so on. BUT! There are critical software that will not work on Linux not even with the emulator. That is also true... I mean it is even true for Windows...

Many people on this forum will tell you that they still run Windows XP computers because specialized hardware needs it and because there is no longer support for Vista, Windows 7 and up OS platform refuse to work with there hardware.
