    You've got to think how dispirited business owners are. You take on an employee and it's like you're getting married.

    You're expected to be their bank (no matter that they need the loan because they're behind on their debts instalments...)
    You're expected to pay enough to support a spouse, a girlfriend or more, a horde of kids, a house in the suburbs, company car, cellphone (which will be used for 80% personal calls) and their retirement one day.
    You're expected to give them an education.
    You're expected to pay for all their mistakes.
    You're expected to find new customers to replace the ones they didn't service properly.
    You're expected to pay more for everything you buy and charge less to your customers.
    You're expected to promote employees fast enough so that they are the boss by age 30 and able to consider retirement by 40-45.
    And if you don't deliver, your employees can trash the place without ever saying sorry.

    On second thoughts, why the heck am I trying to be an employer....
