Hi guys,
What can I expect to pay customs if I import a computer from China? There are some crazy-good deals there but I don't want a surprise when I go collect the thing!
Thanks!
Norio

For those also wondering the answer to this question, here's an AWESOME calculator:
http://www.dutycalculator.com/new-im...x-calculation/
You can do like 2-5 free calculations and then you have to pay. If you reach your limit, you will need to use a different IP address before you can use it again.

Quick question: may be brand names - but what happens if warranty repairs are needed?

depending on the brand an warranty you may get a international warranty honoured in South Africa, HP will not honour warranty. Dell has international warranty that is quite good. Having dealt with HP in the past, we have had no success on warranty being honoured for imported hardware such as Servers
And Samsung are not much good here with overseas "international" warranties either.
if i'm not wrong import duty would be in 1000$ or may be within it.
