Hi Michael,
Here's some light bedtime reading to start with. You'll probably find more info as well with the search tool.

will have a look at it!!
Hey Michael.
I am in the same position as you. just returned after 10 years in UK. I am doing the whole conversion so here is the low down
Firstly: Get all your certs (copies and certified) send them off to SAQA for evaluation, with the application form.
They'll send you an evaluation (probably a NQF ?)
The dont take into account your Inspection / Testing , or any additional certs.theyt will evaluate on C&G P1 and P2 (if you did the parts)
Then you'll need to enrol for 'The regs' or INSTALLATION RULES, this takes about 3 months.
Then you'll need to do your UNIT STANDARDS (same as your INSPECTION TESTING)
Then you'll probably need to do a TRADE TEST. We did ongoing assessments so I am not sure it helps here.
Then get all these and you can register for your wiremans.
Its a lengthly procedure so be prepared.
If you need any further info: mail me at ecolectrical@gmail.com
Good luck
