LOL i suspect those private email address's are kept a close guarded secret cause once that got out... they would probably have to cancel that address for floods of mail! There's a very interesting civil suite developing against them and i wonder when the good fight will be taken up. False advertising is false advertising, before or after the new acts and what Cell C have been advertising and producing are becoming somewhat 2 things!

Have tried them 3 times via mail, call center etc and havnt had anything... not even auto responders any more. Also my speed has collapsed so badly between 6.00pm and 10pm that i dont even bother going on... fastest network?... slowest at that time for me... still good in the day though

The plot thickens !!!!!!!!! The question I have now: Is there anything, we as the TFSA can do to wake these guys up ?

Unless anyone has another suggestion - Keep adding to the general awareness out there?

At the very least the exchange of information identifies and helps confirm the situation. I'm not sure where people who bought in on the deal prior to April 1 might stand, but anyone who bought after and isn't getting the service they bought should be able to have a crack via the Consumer Protection Act.

    Ok, time for some feedback........................

After many posts on MyBroadband and PMs to "CellC representative" with no results and more completions of online messages also with no results to speak of, I stumbled upon a post made by Lars the CEO of CellC. I immediately sent a PM and an email to him via the forum at about 16:00 yesterday.

Well.........you will not believe it ! I got a phone call from CellC at +- 18:00 last night and after explaining my issue again I got an undertaking that they will immediately replace my modem for a compatible model. They even undertook to have this new modem delivered to my workplace.
I have not rec'd it yet but I am confident it is going to happen and I am really surprised that there was no umm and ahh about the problem.

This clearly illustrates that if one can get hold of the right person, one can get a problem resolved. But and also a big BUT, how does one get hold of someone behind the Iron Curtain protected by a zillion employees ?

    Well.............I am holding thumbs.

To add to that.. they called me a couple of nights ago!!! Couldnt believe it, couldnt take the call so missed but was astounded at the message... also for some reason, speed is drastically improved, almost as though they actually did something.

So there is a light at the end of the tunnel and its not the train this time.... good on them, at last
