Smile Non funding business partner wanted

Last year 2015, we formed a registered Pty Ltd company with the sole purpose of professionally training promotional and other staff, preferably online but we would also consider a classroom environment.

One of the partners in our business was from the shopping centre environment and oversaw the setting up of exhibitors in centre courts and other ngl areas of the centres. From dealing with Centre Management, she came to realise that one of the biggest complaints from Centre Management was the level of training given to promoters which was severely lacking. Quite often she had to close down the exhibition for this very reason.

    Hence www.theskillsstudio.co.za was born!

I am looking for a business partner to work together in training Shopping Centre promotional staff and perhaps even extend the training to other sectors such as cleaning/security staff/Restaurant staff etc.

No funding is required but what is needed is a person who can make the business happen. In return I will offer that person a 50/50 partnership in the business.

Any prospective candidate will be vetted with caution for obvious reasons. This is a genuine opportunity for someone who is in this industry to profit handsomely from a good business opportunity. the course is professional and I have invested R500000 into this business.

I had a look at your website. Just a few questions:

    1. Is your courses SETA accredited?
    2. What have you invested R 500k in?
    3. Does your certificate that you issue say what SETA modules have been covered and completed?
    4. How do you test after the course?

    Hi there

The main investment was to build the course with graphics and animation. I then had to build the website. thereafter I invested approximately R50k in a marketing campaign that came to naught!

The previous partner was from the mall industry and I am not, although I do possess an extremely well grounded marketing and sales background. Hence the need for a partner who can move the business forward

    Hi Sakkie
The course is not SETA accredited yet. Once funds permit, I intend to head in this direction.

There are several tests throughout the course but no tests once employment has been started.

    Regards

    Ian

invested approximately R50k in a marketing campaign

Oh ok ....R50k is a lot different to R500k which you originally said. It did cross my mind after your first post that something was not right at all !!!

I think he actually meant R500K and not R50K. He said the main investment was to build the course with graphics & animation, then he had to build the website and R50K on marketing that had zero results.

With this said, that means R450K was spent on the website + course creation (graphics & animation). I had a look at that website and if you paid more than R5K, you were ripped off... That means a motion graphic designer charged you around R400K?
I have no idea what other admin costs you might have occured or any other expenses, but R500K seems a bit exagerated, especially if you're looking for someone to make the business "happen". If you can't find someone on a public forum then you've wasted half a million? This all seems a bit fishy.

If he spent that much ...... something is seriously not right. Very fishy indeed.

Well if you dont need additional capital, regardless of how inefficiently the original capital was utilised, there is still money to be made by a partner who understands where in retail to go with this. Ive sent some mails. Will respond in the week I hope.
