    Opening SARSefiling_Tax Returns

    Hi Guys

I'm completing tax returns through e-filing...

I was trying to view the preliminary assessment “CALCULATION RESULTS” column and I’m getting the following message:

To view the full contents of this document, you need a later version of the PDF viewer. You can upgrade
to the latest version of Adobe Reader from www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
For further support, go to www.adobe.com/support/products/acrreader.html

I have downloaded the latest version of adobe but the problem persists.

    Please assist

    What browser are you using?
I got the same message when using Google Chrome (all up to date as far as adobe reader and java plug-ins)
I used internet explorer, and it worked fine.
I think it is just a compatibility issue with the website and some browsers (Chrome in my case)

I used Firefox and I also got a message like that. Gave me an option to view with another program and I choose adobe and it worked fine.

I got the same message when using Chrome and Firefox.

Works fine when I use Internet Explorer though. The returns just seem to open up faster in Chrome and Firefox but I switch to Explorer to view PDF's.

Had this discussion with SARS more than once as to why on earth they do not tell users that only certain browers work. Other browers work to an extend, but not for all functions. They never learn and people have to guess, call them, ask on this forum etc. What a waste of reseourves including their own. All it needs is proper info on the LOGIN screen.

Anyway, if all fails try Explorer.

In Google Chrome you must go to settings and chrome://plugins in browser and enable Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Reader version 11.0.07.79 and disable chrome pdf viewer
