    Worth reading the second comment on that article, which says:

    SAA numbers

    What is your source for the SAA numbers? I get 10 057 employees and 61 aircraft from their 2011 annual report. So 165 employees per aircraft.
    Still a little high, but nowhere near as extreme as originally presented.
    Participation is voluntary.
