Enspired by Nevilles pic of the day.

Will be writing a small little program every month

that is helpful and can be used for daily business. No unfortunetly not every day.

    This months program is: SellAt

Purpouse: To calculate your sell price using markups and GP%.

Please report any bugs and any suggestions for a Version 0.2

    Version 0.1
Calculate Sell Price and Profit by entering Cost Price and GP%

    *Upcoming
    Version 0.2 Features List
    - Calculate GP% / Markup% / Cost Price / Sell Price / Profit by entering any 2 values. The rest will be calculated.
    - Import Products Cost Price via .CSV or Excel and then Export Selling Prices to .CSV or Excel

If you do not have MS Access installed on your computer the you will need the Access 2003 runtime. I have included it in the download package.

Is it possible to have a price list in excel which will transfer price and description of required items to another quote or invoice when required?

    Hi Wynn

VLOOKUP would be my choice of Excel command to do what you are looking for, simple and easy. Type a product code into one field and let the vlookup command work in the background to populate other parts of the row.

Hi Wynn, if the invoice or quote is in excel then VLOOKUP will work as Kleva suggests. But i would rather do it in MS Access and export to excel when required. Benefits of doing it in MS Access.

    - All your data is in one place.
    - Updating of Product Name in Products Table will filter threw automatically to quotes / invoices
    - Prices can be pulled threw to quotes and invoices
    - Design a quote / invoice template
    - Export to PDF or Excel
    - Generate Sales Reports

Are you currently using Excel for Quotes / Invoices?

What type of sales are you doing wynn? distribution or cash customers only?

I am asking because because i have written an order processing system.

It is not for retail sales, but can be used for office sales.

I can send you a copy that you can use, then you can just give me some feedback.

I am wanting to start working on a second version of the software and license it out. With web features for sales analysis, customer order placing and billing etc. Integration with Patel also. The system has been used by a company that does about R700 000 in sales every month.
