    Entinology

    Hi Everyone

I do not know how many of you are aware of the latest Google update that is taking place atm, called the Caffeine update. Says nothing we don't already know, but I want you to aware of it.

Anyway, I am currently busy rolling out my Entinology workshop and thought it would be interesting to share a couple of facts with you on this one.

This is the first time I actually apply my own techniques on a local targeted website, (always been using it in global markets for my affiliate websites but never really locally) and the results is very interesting.

    First of all the history:

I have been working on putting this course together for the past 8 months. But I only decided to call it Entinology about 2 weeks ago. I then registered the domain on the 26th of September and applied for the Trademark a week later. The website first went live on the 5th of this month.

    It has the following downsides

It is a 1 page website
It has very little content on the home page.
It is only a week old
The domain name is meaningless as the name is completely self manfactured.

Infact this site is not supposed to rank at all, it has several other new sites feeding traffic to it as part of a funnel!

I started doing link building on it on Friday and on Saturday it was already ranking.

Here are some of the results from today.

    Google.com (international)

Offcourse it ranks #1 for the keyword entinology

Then there is a #30 for the keyword entrepreneural system for the internet.

    and

But this site is aimed at the South African market and not at all targetting Google.com

Here are a few of its rankings...
    Entrepreneurial system - 13
entrepreneurship on the Internet - 3
    internet entrepreneurship course - 1
entrepreneur on the Internet - 10

Now the very interesting fact on the site.

It got its first traffic on the 6th of October, 2 visits to be exact. (My IP's are excluded as well as SE's)
The 7th it hit 3 visitors
    8th - 7
    9th - 15
    10th - 3
    11th - 2
    12th - 534
    13th - 913

So far I have had just over 300 downloads of my Entinology ebook!

Haven't done analysis today of my stats, but this is truly amazing.

    Location is also very interesting

    United States - 17%
    South Africa - 33%

I hope that you find this as interesting as I do.

An interesting comment given it's Entinology.com. Did you steer Google to "target SA" using Google Webmaster Tools?

    Aah!

Out of curiosity when did you load the entinology page on Bizcommunity? I see this thread is only no.3 at the moment...

On Caffeine - I tested the beta a few weeks ago. I can't say I was complaining. I certainly couldn't find the major shuffle that some seemed concerned about. Would you agree the main thrust is about speed in getting news and fresh content into the index or are you expecting other major changes?

I think I did the listing on Bizcom on Friday.

A number of my affiliate sites changed around a bit, but it seems like the rankings are shuffled around more often now, based on freshness. I will not be surprised if my Entinology site fluctuate in rankings because what I have seen so far it is as you say, all about freshness and this one ain't changing soon. It fully supports the TrustRank patent and later patents that Google have registered. Stale sites are going to fade away much faster now.

A further very important thing about Caffeine seems to be that as logical effrect of its speed, backlinks are picked up much faster now, imo the Sandbox as we know it might be fading away slowly. What this means is that link building campaigns will need to be run continuously if you want to compete in future.

...or get and maintain a favorable click rate on SERPs by being the right stuff in the first place.

    Chatmaster,
What caught my eye was the new word, what a brilliant idea. I see you have been busy with loads of articles on this. So this must also be a key part of the strategy with the links.
Only stress when you can change the outcome!

Nice work Chatmaster Just to jump back to the Google Caffiene update - an interesting factor for website owners to take note of is the fact the page speed is becoming a factor.

Very few website developers or designers have been too concerned with this in the past which means many people have bulky slow websites (i'm sure we've all come across this...)

Just wanted to bring it to light
