Question Quickbooks - add VAT amount column

    Hi all, new here!
In Quickbooks, is there a way to show a column next to each item, with the VAT amount?
All of our invoices show VAT totaled at the bottom of the invoice, but it confuses some of our non-VAT registered customers.
Any advice on how to get the VAT amount to show for each item on the invoice?

Hi Jono, it can't be done by line item. I wish it could.

The closest solution I can come up with is create a VAT Inclusive template and use that for your non-registered customers. That is after all what each line item is costing them.

Thanks Andromeda that sounds like it might work. How would one do that? I've copied the current invoice template but don't see an option to show VAT inclusive prices. I'm using Quickbooks Premier 2019 Desktop.

First go to Preferences, VAT (near the bottom) company preferences and enable VAT inclusive entries:

Then on the invoice entry screen select VAT Inclusive:

Depending on your invoice template. that could well be that..
