    wireman's license assessment

    Evening all im a qualified Electrician with P1 and P2 installation rules passed I need an accredited assessor i have been trying but not any luck

    Have you spoke to the ECASA - they can advise

    Guessing you are trying to get your wire-mans license?

    Have you got unit standards for testing a single phase and 3 phase installation + unit standards for issuing a COC.

    Depends which grade you are applying for.

    For installation electrician i think its N4, trade test, unit standards (mentioned above), SANS 10142 (which you have) and then just apply at the department of labour with the required form (I'll find it later) and proof of payment.

    thank you for the useful info yes i phoned ECA yesterday and they gave me the date and info needed thank you so much guys

    If you need the unit standards i believe P&T technologies do them in simulated conditions. I did mine at western cape inspection authority (ECASA in Cape Town I think). Same set up - simulated conditions.

    ECASA may have suggested doing a portfolio of testing where you work along side an licensed electrician but the way i suggest above is way quicker - if you know what you are doing.
