    Invertors

I am looking for a company which imports directly, to supply a complete inverter unit with the following,

A charger correctly rated for the size battery (preferably at least 10% of the battery capacity),
A battery mounted in an enclosure,
A square wave 800 watt and 1500 watt inverter,
A pure sine wave 800 watt and 1500 watt inverter.

The units must be supplied complete on wheels with a 15 amp plug top.

Camping or 4x4 suppliers maybe. Your description also could be satisfied by most off the shelf UPS's as well although you may need to fit your own wheels.

Do you need seamless switching in the case of power outage?
How long do you require back-up power to last on batteries and at what percentage of the full load output?
Do you want it scaleable so you can add batteries for future expansion?
Are you looking for specifically a square wave or just the usual modified sine?
What kind of quality versus price ratio?

Batteries will be the issue, if you're looking for a 3 hour back-up time on a 1.5kW inverter they'll need to be deep cycle and they're going to be heavy and bulky and unlikely to come integrated into a single enclosure alongside the inverter.

    Hi Ians,

Once you answer Andy's questions, I may be able to offer some assistance.
I have already imported and have in stock stand alone square wave 500W and 1000W inverters, which can be connected to anything, or made to be part of a system.
Switching the inverter on does take approximately 2 to 3 seconds before the power is available, so seamless switching requires a UPS as opposed to an inverter.

I am currently working on a sine wave inverter, but will take a few weeks before I would be comfortable to sell it into the market place.

I am not looking for a UPS.

IT is for load shedding, some thing like the old Tedelex unit which i bought many years ago.

    That is basically a UPS I think;
This UPS has 1x 100Ah internal batteries and is also available with 2x 100Ah internal batteries for double the backup time (INT3 / PS600B)

Ok you win its a UPS with a big battery. That could be why they have gone from R1500.00 when i purchased my unit to over R 4000.00.
