if you take a close look...you will note the 230 volts lamp holder has no earth terminal to to earth the frame of the down light .

you will also note that some of the twin +e runs under the beam...why they didnt install all the twin +e under the beams only the almighty above could explain.

it would make life for everyone... so much easier if someone who actually worked in the industry who had a little experience in all the challenges...made the rules.

a simple thing like a walk way (made up of board or battens) in the middle of a ceiling space (below the highest points)...should be law for people building houses...with a space left on either side for wiring and plumbing...which cannot be damaged by workers safety boots.

no wiring should be allowed below the centre (highest point in the ceiling space) unless suitably mechanically protected.

in fact why am i even wasting my time and energy.......you get the idea...its becoming a challenge trying to identify the alarm wires from the electrical wires from the network cabling...aerial cabling...in this day and age most unskilled people do a really crap job...including the labourers installing the electrics.

like a customer said to me a while back...who cares what it looks like in the roof or wall ...he cant see it ...so long as it works...the problem is there are still people who i can see by their responses to this forum...still have a bit of pride in their work.

As difficult as it is...try keep your head up and do the best you can do...people do notice it and will comment on the good workmanship...there are still customers out there
prepared to pay for a quality job...people talk and they normally will find you.
