Question Table which saves transactions older than 2 years?

    Hello

Does anyone know the name of the table in Pastel which saves all transactions older than two years? I know it exists as I have seen it before... and it is also the cause of my problem below where I cannot delete old GL accounts. But for the life of me I cannot remember what the name of that table is???

All transactions, up to 5 years, are stored in the LedgerTransactions (acctrn.dat) table.

However, you may not have purged old document history yet, which will likely resolve your problem - go to Change...Delete History/Clear Files and then Delete/Consolidate Transactions.

Hi Neville. Nice to hear from you, thank you for your reply. The options I selected (and ran) are shown in this screenshot here. Are the options I selected a little bit too cautious?

Do you think it would be okay to select "March last year" in step 3 and "consolidate" in step 6? When I did try this, I noticed that for instance if I went to my Detailed Sales ledger, I could no longer "click into" any of my Invoices. This was only for March. This doesn't really bother me, but I'm just worried there are other things which are changed that I don't really understand. I quickly restored my backup and then run a more "gentle" selection of options as shown in my screenshot.

Or... am I making this too complicated. Will my "gentle" selection service my purpose? (which incidentally, after running reduced my backup sized from 11Mb to 6MB).

    Hi Michelle,

Referring to the numbering system in your screenshot:

    1. Yes
    2. Yes (duplicated?)
    3. Select 3+ Years Ago (in other words, everything prior to last financial year)
    4. Yes
    5. Yes, preferably, as you might have some genuine open item transactions prior to last year that are still outstanding
    6. Yes
    7. Yes
