    join.me

    Has anyone tried join.me?

It appears to be a really nifty alternative to GoToMeeting webinar software, except that join.me has a free version!

I tested it quickly with Margaret, and it seems to be quite simple to operate.

Even the free version allows one to invite up to 250 attendees.

My mind is racing with the possibilities...

I'm beginning to think you don't have any work to do with the number of social media invites/suggestions I've been getting from you lately, Neville!

Just took a look at join.me - Looks awesome! When we create a Joomla website we offer 1 hour training on the use thereof. It looks like it would be perfect to get that job done for clients in other parts of the country/world.

My partner and I tested this out yesterday. I'm afraid to say that it was extremely slow on our 384kbps ADSL line.

Perhaps if you have 4mb or equivalent it would be faster.

Just so you know, we tested Teamviewer at the same time and that was infinitely faster.

I have had no problem with team viewer. Skype has also been good for group family chat and logmein is great for when one of my two nephews need to iron out glitches in my PC, although the one uses team viewer lately
