Then why are we presently paying 93c / Kwh ? ( Before the increase coming )

    http://www.durban.gov.za/durban/serv...20increase.pdf

heres the link to the increases...please note these are durban electricity rates not eskom rates.

i had a customer request i have a look at his account because he was behind and didnt understand the account...one of the reasons was the R30 000 increase in his deposit (industrial site...not domestic)

my advice...dont leave it up to the accountant to pay your bill make sure you monitor your account and if you are uncertain get someone to look into it before it is tooo late.

remeber your meter is only read every 3 month...so as we go into winter and you start using heaters and deeper hotter baths...expect an increase in 3 months time which could blow your socks off... you can phone in the meter reading every month and receive your account via email...so you dont get any nasty surprises.

note at the top of the pdf link...eskom must be battling to keep up with their huge bonuses...thay have added a 25 % increase.

My advice - don't fall into arrears on your electricity account
    At least not in Durban...
