What is more amazing is that is a naturally aspirated engine........no fancy turbos and superchargers !

Even till today, the first 427 Cobras were/are the quickest 0 to 100 to 0 mph !

As nice as it was to drive a turbo charged quattro - the repair bills when it did break were astronomical.

So a V8 putting down all that power AND n/a as well... need I say more

It's a lot of car but at approx 0.8 million USD it's quite a toy. I was playing with the idea of importing one of these in kit form. http://www.arielatom.com/specs/atom-3-specs they're a little cheaper at just over R200 000.00 and probably more fun. Not sure I could get it past the wife though

over the years i have learnt something about women...when you get invoved with a women you must have all the toys already do all the hobbies you desire...and spend as much time getting out and doing things...so that when they complain becuase they only see you on the 4 th weekend of the month for a short period...lets say an afternoon they get use to it and learn to live with it.

the biggest mistake we all make is to slowly get rid of our big boy toys (and i dont mean your blow up doll...chances are you will need to invest in one after 5 years or after the last kid is born) or have a break between sports or hobbies...what happens is you spend a weekend or 2 at home ...then when you want to get out and do something else then the...."but you never spend any time with the family starts"...i am sure some of you can relate to this.

cars dont do it for me but a toy like this could get me interested...my last bike accerated 0- 100 in 2.5 secs....but the best was when you pull up next to a porsche 911 turbo cruising at around 180 km/hr he challenges you to a top end run...you just ride next to the car to make him feel good until around 265 km/hr when the limiter kicks in and he indicates no more legs...you rol lthe throttle open leave him standing like he is looking for packing change into 6 th gear and off you go...i know plenty of the cars nowadays can run over 300 km/hr with chip sets installed but the drivers dont have the balls or aint stupid enough to run with us at that speed
