The problem with arguing about shades of grey.

    How good is your eyesight?

Which is a darker shade of grey, block A or block B?

There is only one shade of grey - block A.

The green cylinder is casting a shadow over the white block B, making it appear to be a light grey.

So are you saying block B isn't a shade of grey?

    Let's not start arguing now!

No, block B is white - it just appears to be grey coz it's in the shadow of the green cylinder.

    It's a trick question, I tell you!

Oh it is a trick question

Would you believe me if I told you that Block A and Block B are both the same colour?

I used tell my customers printing relies on optical illusion, but I always got a quizzical look back. If you have a 8x magnifying glass look at a pictures of a person from a magazine through it. You should see little dots, because the eye can't magnify to any great extent we can use just the 4 process colours to print in full colour.

I would say that "A" and "B" are the same colour ( the letters themselves ) but the blocks they are located on, are not the same.

Excluding the black frames in my picture and the green on the picture the “greys” are shown beneath thus concluding that they are all a variation of grey. However quantum physicists now belief that matter cannot exist without mind entering into it. So it boils down to a point of view and mind set.

OK. Have just put this in photoshop, colour sampled the A block, and painted a wide line from A to B. Guess what ....
