    Telkom Internet Confusion

Can someone please help? I subscribed to Telkom Internet Do Broadband2 and received the following:
    A Username
    A password
    A primary email login
    A primary email password
    A primary email name
    Two SMTP domains
    A webmail domain
    a POP3 domain
My question is WHERE DO THESE ALL GO?
    I want to
    1. login to my telkom email
    2. check my Telkom usage
    3. checkmy telehone account.

Telkom seems to have THREE different sites, one for each of these.

Can someone who knows what goes where please assist?
Which combination do I use to get into these three sites?
(p.s. It's no use dialling 10215 - there is a very long waiting period before you get thru to a live person in outer mongolia who doesn't speak any earthly language)

The username and password is used to set up your modem (hopefully that came with instructions as to how to get into the admin panel). This is essentially your broadband user account.

Rather than go into detail about how to use the webmail option, may I make a suggestion if you're going down that route - rather use gmail than a telkomsa email account.

Can't comment on the "check your telephone account" bit as I don't use that facility.

    Thanks for the reply Dave.
I do have a gmail account but I want to set up the telkom email account for a specific purpose. I have set the router using the above username and password so that works. The problem comes when trying to access any of the three sites quoted above. This is where I am confused.
Incidentally, when using Chrome or IE, I get a warning message that the certificates don't match. With FF it brings up the login screen for example but does not accept any combination of the above username/password. Hence the problem.

    UPDATE:
Finally got through to the telkom help line (10215) AND GUESS WHAT?

They admit there is a problem on their site and that numerous people have complained about this.
You would think that a giant company would proactively put a notice on their website about this, but naaah, not telkom. Dead meat from the shoulders up.

Ok then, let's cover the other bases.

The webmail domain is really just a way to read your email online. You'll log in with your email username and password

The SMTP and POP3 data goes into the email client on your PC (such as Outlook, Outlook Express or Windows Mail) if you deal with your email that way, along with the email log-in details.

Just a warning on the SMTP settings - they'll work fine if you're connected via a Telkomsa ISP account, but won't work if you happen to be connecting to the internet by a non-Telkom ISP account at the time.

Thanks again Dave. All issues now resolved after Telkom fixed their problem. Needless to say I am still awaiting their call after I logged a fault.
By the way, I read in the UK newspapers today that the LOWEST AVERAGE internet speed there is 1.7MB/s. We are SOOOO far behind the real world, but I am pinning my hopes on what that nice Mr. Zooma said in Parliament earlier this year, that SA would soon be offering internet speeds compatible to the rest of the world. He wouln't lie, would he?
