    Log in to efiling.

Make sure you've selected the company or individual you want to apply for the tax clearance certificate.

Click the services tab on the top menu bar.

The tax clearance certificate option will be in the left hand menu.

If u are not an e-filer, the only way is to go into a branch and collect an application form. It is one of those forms that they just don't place on the website.

Note that the turn-around time is 10 days for a branch application and 3 days for e-filing... However if you're unsure about outstanding amounts and returns and such, it's better to go into a branch

Thanks guys, but i have to wait for the income tax number, which i have just applied for. I didnt want the accountants to apply for the tax clearance on my behalf, as you would know they will charge me around R300, additional costs that i can do without....at least now i know i can very well do this application myself... so once again thanks Dave and thank you Brown :-)
However i hope you guys dont think i am too daft with any of my questions....
