Copper cables allow superior power transfer than aluminium. Besides the different local & ideal material properties of copper versus aluminium, the grain size of the different materials, corrosion aspects & so forth, need to be evaluated.
Typically, when aluminium cables begin to create major resistance after a few years, they will be replaced with copper. You may save some upfront cost by using aluminium cables, but, it will get you later.
