Blacks waiting for better life - News24.com

Johannesburg - Most black South Africans are still waiting in vain for the better life they have been promised, Cosatu general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi said on Thursday. (News24.com)

...while the rest of us work our butts off in persuit of a better life...

Interesting how taking responsibility for building their own better life has never occured to Mr Vavi

    True

This is the problem. People wait for others to make things happen. Mr Vavi should also ask why the creator of jobs(SME's), are so stifled by laws that they approved.

These very same laws are putting millions out of work. A Power House such as South Africa, with its resources, people and natural beauty, should have been a paradise!Something doesnt add up to me as well

But the culture of entitlement makes people think that the world owes them.
As long as people dont get off their behinds, things will never change.

Both government and COSATU seem to have the same flaw - too much focus on the distribution of wealth and not enough on the creation of wealth.

Nothing will happen unless you stand up grab the bull by the horns and make things happen. Yes I agree job creation followed by proper training and we will be one of the richest countries in the world easy...

Is the actual problem not that the African psyche is that the men make war and love while the women do the work and the young boys herd the cattle.
I wonder how Vavi justifies his and his wife's wealth to the masses.

When Zuma tells his followers at a rally that the spirits of the ancestors will know if they do not vote for the ANC is there any hope of ever throwing off the oppressive shackles that bind the black people.

    Agree.

You can only redistribute until the original pot becomes empty.

With wealth creation, you'll keep needing to supply new pots, as the old ones overflow.

Easy. Open up a Facebook site & get the message out that Zuma is telling porkies.
