    SARS Employer Filing Season

The SARS Employer Filing Season commenced on 01 April 2010.

There are a number of changes in the submissions processes as well as layouts that business owners, Payroll Administrators, Financial Managers need to come to grips with before submitting to SARS.

    Notes:
    1. Only submit your tax certificates and PAYE reconciliations using the new version of SARS e@syFile that will be released tomorrow. Keep an eye out for it on www.sars.gov.za
    2. Companies can only print and issue IRP5/IT3(a) tax certificates to their employees after they have submitted their PAYE reconciliations generated on SARS e@syFile (and only after SARS has accepted these submissions) – either via SARS eFiling or manually on disk.

SARS has issued a notice to all employers outlining these changes - http://www.sars.gov.za/Tools/Documen...p?FileID=56553

If you're looking for a Guideline to help you through your submissions visit www.pastelpayroll.co.za or go to http://www.pastelpayroll.co.za/Paste...RS-Changes.asp

Just a reminder that your SARS PAYE reconciliations and employee tax certificate submissions are due by 31 May 2010. To ensure that you are not hindered by traffic on SARS eFiling or queues at the SARS offices, ensure that you submit as early as possible.
