    PDF file converter

I need to be able to convert word files and perhaps excel files into a pdf format so that when submitting to UNISA it remains in a good format. Any idea where I can download this or do it online. Thanks

Quite a nice thread about creating PDF files here.

I've used the one Chatmaster linked to and it works great!
And Duncan throws in some tips at the end too.

Would the 'Open Office' pdf exporter not do the job?

Download PDF995 (you can google it).

Install both the driver and converter, and then you can print any document to a pdf format.

Thanks. I used the primopdf site as suggested by Ian in the earlier threads by Chatmaster. Quick and easy, did it online, fantastic.
Other files are quite big for downloading and I dont use much so online works for me.

    eXpert PDF 5 from Avanquest

I would recommend expert PDF 5 it is simply brilliant! And you can get it at your local Incredible Connection for R250 <<< that is what I paid for mine.) there are more expensive products but this one is really really good!!

I use the free primo for all my quoting and invoicing and it works well.

Have been using PDFcreator ( free version ) for a number of years. Installs as a "printer" on your PC and you then just print to it instead of your laser printer.
Creates a PDF document very effectively from Word or any other application.

Right with expert PDF 5 you can do a lot more... add edit and delete pages photos and you can even set passwords and permissions on the files in question. Yes PDF Creator is brilliant but if you want to do a bit more then this program is worth its money.

Open Office works very well for me. Just export as a pdf and enter and it is done.
